The Global Technology Industry Association (GTIA) is expanding its network in the German-speaking IT channel. The first meeting of its newly established DACH Local Chapter will take place in Munich on October 6, 2026. The event will focus on peer exchange and the joint planning of future chapter activities.
The Global Technology Industry Association (GTIA) has invited members to the first meeting of its new DACH Chapter in Munich on October 6, 2026. The Local Chapter is intended to strengthen connections among members in Germany, Austria and Switzerland and provide a regular forum for discussing developments and challenges in the IT channel.
The meeting will begin at 6 p.m. at Gastrobar el Tato, Buttermelcherstraße 9, in Munich. The evening will start with a joint dinner, giving participants an opportunity to exchange experiences from their day-to-day business. The group will then discuss the chapter’s next activities, including the topic and date for the following meeting, which is planned for approximately three months later.
Katrin Giza, Community Manager DACH at GTIA, emphasizes the role of members in shaping the local groups. The meetings are intended to provide a setting where current channel challenges can be discussed openly, experiences exchanged and topics for future meetings selected collectively.
Local chapters as a new format
GTIA launched its Local Chapters in 2026 as member-driven and member-led groups, according to the organization. They complement GTIA’s existing global and regional activities with opportunities for face-to-face exchange at the local level.
Regular networking is a central element of the format. Members are expected to be able to exchange best practices and discuss issues that are relevant to their respective markets and regions. The Munich meeting will serve as the first regional meeting point for the DACH Chapter. It is aimed at GTIA members from Germany, Austria and Switzerland who want to deepen their connections within the IT channel and contribute to shaping the chapter’s future direction.
The format therefore combines GTIA’s international structures with regional discussions. While global and regional programs facilitate broader exchange, the Local Chapters are designed to address issues more closely related to individual markets and regions. The participating members are expected to play a role in determining how the DACH Chapter develops.
Roadshow and chapter meeting on the same day
GTIA will also be present in Munich on October 6 together with a number of its member companies at the MSP Channel Insights Roadshow. The event brings together managed service providers (MSPs), managed security service providers (MSSPs), vendors and other channel executives for peer-based discussions.
Holding the two formats on the same day provides different opportunities for interaction. The roadshow brings together participants from various parts of the MSP and channel market, while the subsequent chapter meeting provides GTIA members with a more focused setting for discussions and for developing the regional network.
The first DACH Chapter Meeting is reserved exclusively for GTIA members. Participation is free of charge, but advance registration is required. Interested participants must first become GTIA members and can then register for the October 6 meeting.
