The partnership between New Relic and AWS has reached a new milestone: More than $1 billion in transactions through AWS Marketplace highlights the growing importance of intelligent observability solutions for enterprises.

The partnership between New Relic and Amazon Web Services (AWS) has reached a significant milestone: the intelligent observability provider has surpassed more than $1 billion in transaction volume through AWS Marketplace. This places New Relic among a select group of AWS partners that have achieved this level. For both companies, the achievement reflects the growing global demand for integrated solutions in cloud monitoring, application analytics, and AI-driven operational processes.

The development is the result of a long-term strategic collaboration that has steadily expanded over the years. At the center of the partnership is the close integration of the New Relic platform into AWS infrastructure. Companies running applications and systems on AWS can centrally collect and analyze telemetry data from their cloud environments, giving IT teams comprehensive visibility into infrastructure, applications, and digital services.

Observability is becoming increasingly important, especially in complex multi-cloud and hybrid environments. Enterprises face mounting pressure to deliver stable and high-performing digital services at all times while meeting growing demands for speed, scalability, and security. Observability platforms are designed to help organizations identify issues faster, automate root-cause analysis, and prevent outages before they impact business operations.

According to New Relic, the partnership with AWS has therefore been strategically expanded beyond traditional monitoring capabilities. Additional integrations now support incident management, automated root-cause analysis, and automated responses to disruptions. The goal is to significantly reduce the time between problem detection and resolution.

This approach is particularly relevant in industries with strict requirements for stability and availability. In financial services and insurance, for example, data quality and system reliability are considered mission-critical. Deeply integrated observability platforms can help organizations classify incidents more quickly and make more informed decisions during remediation processes.

Retail is another sector where performance data plays a critical role. Digital commerce platforms and online storefronts are highly sensitive to delays and outages. Even brief disruptions can directly affect revenue and customer satisfaction. By combining infrastructure and experience data, organizations can more effectively connect technical issues with customer impact.

Another key focus of the partnership is the SAP ecosystem. Many German enterprises are currently engaged in large-scale modernization and migration projects related to RISE with SAP on AWS. These initiatives often involve moving ERP landscapes into cloud environments without losing transparency into critical processes and dependencies.

New Relic positions itself in this market as a certified observability platform for RISE with SAP. According to the company, the integration is fully agentless and based on native SAP interfaces. This approach is intended to avoid system modifications while helping enterprises meet compliance requirements more efficiently, a critical factor in highly regulated enterprise environments.

Looking ahead, agentic AI is becoming a central topic in the partnership. New integrations between the New Relic MCP Server and the AWS DevOps Agent are designed to enable automated analysis of live telemetry data and largely autonomous root-cause investigations.

One example is the automated response to incidents through AWS AppConfig. In such scenarios, systems can independently initiate corrective actions, including feature-flag rollbacks or configuration adjustments. As a result, the entire cycle from issue detection to resolution can potentially be completed within minutes.

The two companies also aim to strengthen collaboration in data-driven decision-making processes. In this context, New Relic points to a native one-click integration with Amazon Quick, designed to provide AWS teams with direct access to observability insights. The objective is to make technical and operational information more readily available for customer engagements and strategic decisions.

Thomas Lloyd, Chief Business and Operations Officer at New Relic, described the billion-dollar milestone as evidence of long-term customer demand for intelligent observability solutions. At the same time, the company views the achievement as a foundation for further expansion of AI-powered operational models.

For the European market, regional infrastructure also plays an important role. New Relic is available through AWS Marketplace from European data centers, enabling companies to leverage existing AWS contracts and budgets while supporting data residency and compliance requirements.

Current developments demonstrate that observability is evolving beyond traditional monitoring. While the focus once centered primarily on individual systems and applications, automated analytics, AI-driven processes, and real-time business insights are now becoming the core priorities. The $1 billion milestone in AWS Marketplace therefore represents not only a commercial achievement for New Relic, but also an indicator of how rapidly the intelligent operations and observability market is transforming.
