UTAX has renewed and expanded its A3 high-speed lineup with seven new multifunction systems. The new color and monochrome models offer higher print speeds, larger monthly volumes, and improvements in scanning, media handling, and security.

UTAX has expanded its portfolio for high-volume printing environments with a new generation of A3 multifunction systems. The lineup includes seven new devices that either replace or complement existing high-speed models. Four updated monochrome systems and three new color devices are designed for organizations where conventional office printers no longer provide sufficient performance, while production printing systems may be too large or too costly.

The new systems deliver print speeds ranging from 70 to 105 A4 pages per minute. The color devices print up to 95 pages per minute in black-and-white and up to 80 pages per minute in color. The monochrome systems reach speeds of up to 105 pages per minute. According to the manufacturer, the color systems are designed for monthly print volumes of up to 100,000 pages, while the monochrome models support up to 250,000 pages per month.

UTAX positions the systems between traditional office printing and professional production printing. Target groups include public authorities, universities, copy shops, in-house print rooms, insurance companies, and marketing agencies. The systems can be used either as a primary print solution or as a complement to existing production printing environments.

The scanning functionality has also been expanded. A new dual scanner processes up to 300 images per minute and features a 500-sheet feeder capacity. Media up to 220 gsm can be handled through the standard paper path. In addition, a straight-path function allows sensitive or heavy originals up to 500 gsm to be scanned and copied through a straight paper path.

The color systems operate at a resolution of 2,400 x 2,400 dpi and use a wax-based toner with a low melting temperature. This is intended to ensure more stable print quality during longer production runs. For advanced color management requirements, the optional Fiery Printing System 18 supports the management of corporate colors, PANTONE colors, and custom spot colors.

UTAX has also introduced water cooling technology in its multifunction systems for the first time. The technology is designed to reduce temperature increases in the developing unit and improve image stability. At the same time, it supports longer production cycles and lower energy consumption.

The systems support media sizes from A6R to SRA3 and paper weights up to 300 gsm, including coated paper. Optional finishing modules include a 4,000-sheet finisher, an integrated Z-fold unit, and an insertion unit for cover and insert sheets.

The devices feature a new 10.1-inch touchscreen with an updated user interface. A built-in motion sensor automatically activates the control panel when users approach the system. Hardware specifications have also been expanded, including up to 9 GB RAM and optional 1 TB storage.

Security functions include TPM technology, Secure Boot, Runtime Integrity Checks, and TLS 1.3 encrypted network communication.
