Virginia Lo Re Director of Sales Enterprise Trend AI
TrendAI, the enterprise cybersecurity business of Trend Micro, is restructuring its sales leadership for Germany, Austria and Switzerland. Oliver Becker becomes Vice President of Sales DACH, Virginia Lo Re moves up to Director of Sales Enterprise, and André T. von Ameln takes charge of new business as Head of New Logo Sales.

TrendAI™, the enterprise cybersecurity business of Trend Micro Incorporated, presented a new sales leadership structure for Germany, Austria and Switzerland (DACH) in Garching near Munich on October 5, 2026. According to the company, the reorganization includes two promotions and one new hire. It also comes with a change at the top of the region: the previous Vice President DACH has left the company.

New responsibilities at the top

Oliver Becker takes over as Vice President of Sales for the DACH region and reports directly to Frank Schwittay, Senior Vice President Europe. According to TrendAI, overall responsibility for sales in the region remains with Becker. His predecessor as Vice President DACH, Hannes Steiner, left the company at his own request. The announcement gives no information on the background or the timing of his departure.

Virginia Lo Re, previously Head of Strategic Sales, will now serve as Director of Sales Enterprise and reports to Becker. TrendAI does not specify how her previous and new roles differ in scope. The company speaks of two promotions and one new hire in total; according to Schwittay, important leadership positions were once again filled internally.

New business under dedicated leadership

André T. von Ameln joins the leadership team as a new member. He takes the position of Head of New Logo Sales, reports to Lo Re and is responsible for all new business in the DACH region. According to TrendAI, he brings more than 20 years of experience in cybersecurity sales, including at Sophos, Secureworks and Symantec.

Vendors typically use the term new logo sales for winning new customers, as opposed to business with existing accounts. That this area now has its own head suggests that TrendAI is separating new customer acquisition from the management of its installed base in the region.

The reporting line at a glance

The DACH sales structure therefore runs from Schwittay (Senior Vice President Europe) through Becker (Vice President of Sales DACH) to Lo Re (Director of Sales Enterprise) and on to von Ameln (Head of New Logo Sales). The announcement does not state team sizes, targets or a timeline for implementation.

Management perspective

Schwittay said he was pleased that important leadership positions could once again be filled internally. Becker, he said, will continue the business in the DACH region. Von Ameln is an experienced sales executive from whom he expects a substantial contribution to new customer business. TrendAI, he added, is thereby well positioned for customers and channel partners.

The reference to channel partners matters in the DACH market, where security vendors handle a large share of their business through distributors and resellers. Whether anything changes in the partner strategy or in the points of contact within the channel is left open by the announcement.
