Coro has appointed three executives — Ingo Schaefer, Dor Avrahami and Itzik Shachar — to lead sales, product and R&D as the cybersecurity vendor expands internationally.

Coro, a cybersecurity platform aimed at organizations with lean IT teams, has appointed three executives to its leadership team, the company announced on July 21, 2026. Ingo Schaefer becomes Vice President of Sales for the EMEA region, Dor Avrahami takes on the role of Vice President of Product, and Itzik Shachar joins as Vice President of Research and Development.

According to the company, the appointments are intended to support Coro’s expansion into new markets, strengthen its channel partnerships, and advance development of its cybersecurity platform. The New York-based vendor develops security software that combines endpoint, email, network and cloud protection within what it describes as a unified platform built around a “One Agent” architecture.

“We’re thrilled to welcome Ingo, Dor, and Itzik to the Coro leadership team during this period of explosive growth,” said Joe Sykora, CEO at Coro, in a statement accompanying the announcement. He said the three executives’ combined experience in international sales, product strategy and engineering leadership would support the company’s efforts to expand its global presence and continue developing its platform for customers and partners.

Ingo Schaefer moves into the EMEA sales role after previously serving as Coro’s Regional Director for the DACH region. In his new position, he will oversee the company’s channel expansion across Europe, the Middle East and Africa. Before joining Coro, Schaefer held senior sales leadership positions at Check Point Software and Proofpoint, where he was involved in revenue growth and partner development for enterprise cybersecurity products, according to the company.

Dor Avrahami joins Coro as Vice President of Product, responsible for product strategy and execution across the company’s platform. The company describes him as a product leader with more than 16 years of experience across artificial intelligence, data platforms and enterprise software. At Coro, Avrahami’s remit includes work on the company’s AI-related security features and on making its products accessible to organizations of varying sizes, the company said.

Itzik Shachar takes on the role of Vice President of Research and Development, where he will lead the engineering teams responsible for building Coro’s platform and will set the company’s technology and innovation strategy, according to the announcement. Shachar has more than 15 years of experience in software and engineering leadership, including previous roles at Rekor and Redis. The company said his background includes work on AI-driven products as well as on the operational and delivery processes behind them.
