Stefanie Casall CMO Portus Data Centers
Portus Data Centers has appointed Stefanie Casall as chief marketing officer. The newly created role is intended to expand the company’s marketing organization and support its continued growth in the data center market.

Portus Data Centers has appointed Stefanie Casall as chief marketing officer (CMO), expanding its management team as the company develops additional data center capacity. Portus operates carrier-neutral colocation facilities in regional markets. Casall will be responsible for the company’s marketing and communications strategy.

According to the company, Casall has more than 15 years of experience in marketing, communications and business development. Her professional background includes digital infrastructure, data centers and technology brands. Most recently, she served as head of marketing and business development at data center provider HSCALE.

Casall previously worked as director of brand and marketing at AQ Compute, where she was responsible for the company’s strategic positioning and brand development. After AQ Compute was acquired and developed into HSCALE, she supported the company’s transformation. She also implemented a new brand, communications and go-to-market strategy across the EMEA region.

Her experience includes building and developing technology brands, positioning growth companies and communicating with customers, partners, investors and other stakeholders.

Marketing role for expansion

In her new position, Casall will further develop Portus Data Centers’ market positioning and support the company’s presence in its target markets. Portus said the role will also involve adapting communications structures to the company’s expansion and supporting its growth strategy.

“Stefanie Casall brings extensive industry experience and combines strategic marketing with a strong understanding of growth and commercial requirements,” said Falk Weinreich, CEO of Portus Data Centers.

Weinreich added that the company’s expansion was increasing the demands placed on its organization and market communications. Casall is expected to support the further development of the Portus brand and the expansion of its marketing structures.

The appointment comes as Portus expands data center capacity in several markets. In Munich, the company is developing MUC2, a facility with 5.5 megawatts of IT capacity. Once completed, the site is expected to provide a total of 7 megawatts.

Portus is also planning a new facility in Hamburg. The project is located on a new site within the company’s interconnected campus and is designed to provide up to 12.8 megawatts of IT capacity. In Luxembourg, Portus has expanded its existing data center by an additional 1.0 megawatt of IT capacity, according to the company.

Portus is pursuing a buy-and-build strategy and is preparing further projects in Germany and neighboring markets. The company recently secured an €80 million financing package with Arcus Infrastructure Partners. Portus said the expansion of its management team is intended to provide the organizational structure needed for the company’s next stage of development.
