Felipe Schwartzmann Senior Vice President (SVP) Regional Sales Leader EMEA Genesys

At Genesys, Felipe Schwartzmann, previously Head of Sales for Latin America, is moving to EMEA as SVP and Regional Sales Leader.

Genesys has appointed Felipe Schwartzmann as Senior Vice President (SVP) and Regional Sales Leader for the EMEA region. The manager will take up his new position in Madrid and will be responsible for sales strategy and implementation in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.

Schwartzmann is no stranger to the company: he has been with Genesys for almost a decade, most recently as SVP for Latin America. In this role, he drove regional expansion and established the Genesys Cloud platform in the region’s enterprise segment. He brings a total of 20 years of experience in managing sales organizations to the table.

In addition to traditional sales management, his responsibilities in his new role will include supporting companies in the introduction of agent AI functions and experience orchestration—an approach that coordinates and automates customer contacts across channels. Genesys sees this as a key growth area.

Diverse region, tailored strategy

EMEA is considered a particularly heterogeneous market in the corporate environment: different regulatory frameworks, economic structures, and rates of digitalization require regionally differentiated approaches. Companies in the region are increasingly using cloud-based contact center solutions to consolidate customer service and introduce AI capabilities in a controlled manner.

Larry Shurtz, Chief Sales Officer at Genesys, explains the choice with Schwartzmann’s track record: The manager has a proven track record of achieving growth, building high-performing teams and strengthening market presence – qualities that are crucial for the further development of the EMEA business.

Predecessor moves to global partnership role

Schwartzmann succeeds Daniel Bailey, who is stepping down as EMEA sales director and will serve as SVP Global Strategic Partners. In this role, Bailey will be responsible for Genesys’ global partnership strategy, with a focus on strategic alliances and joint innovation projects.
