Progress erleichtert Anwendungsentwicklung

Nach dem Kauf des NoSQL Spezialisten MarkLogic hat Progress jetzt Release R1 2023 von Progress Telerik und Progress Kendo UI veröffentlicht (English version below).

Anfang Januar 2023 gab Progress bekannt, dass es eine endgültige Vereinbarung über den Erwerb von MarkLogic, einem führenden Unternehmen für die Verwaltung komplexer Daten und Metadaten und einem Vector Capital Portfolio-Unternehmen, eingegangen ist. Nach Abschluss der geplanten Transaktion wird MarkLogic das Engagement von Progress für die Bereitstellung der besten Produkte für die Entwicklung, Bereitstellung und Verwaltung von hocheffizienten Anwendungen durch die Bereitstellung einer einheitlichen unternehmenseigenen semantischen Datenplattform erhöhen.

MarkLogic bietet eine proprietäre, multi-model-NoSQL-Datenbank sowie robuste semantische Metadatenmanagement- und KI-Fähigkeiten, die das größere Progress-Produktportfolio ergänzt.

Jetzt gibt es Neuheiten von der Produktfront: Das Release R1 2023 von Progress Telerik und Progress Kendo UI ist veröffentlicht. Die UI-Libraries für die Softwareentwicklung mit .NET und JavaScript kommen mit Upgrades für Design und Barrierefreiheit, erlauben noch mehr Individualisierung und unterstützen .NET 7 sowie Angular 15.

Mit den ausgebauten Funktionen von Telerik und Kendo UI können Entwickler schnell und einfach attraktive Benutzeroberflächen erstellen, die den Bedürfnissen aller User gerecht werden.

Das Tool Progress ThemeBuilder Pro für die Implementierung von Designs in UI-Komponenten mit Telerik und Kendo UI erweiterte Progress um neue Features wie benutzerdefinierte Schriftarten, Font Icons und metrische Variablen. Sie ermöglichen es Entwicklern, ihre UI-Komponenten ohne CSS unkompliziert zu gestalten und Markenrichtlinien oder Designsysteme zu implementieren.

Neuerungen von Progress Telerik:

• Progress Telerik UI for Blazor kommt mit den neuen Komponenten Signature, Avatar, Chip and ChipList. Zudem bietet es Updates wie einen Kompaktmodus für die Datengitter-Komponente und ein adaptives Rendering in Datums- und Select-Type-Komponenten.
• Progress Telerik UI for .NET MAUI hat als neue Komponenten Toolbar, ImageEditor, ProgressBar, Accordion und SignaturePad an Bord.
• Progress Telerik UI for WinForms enthält ein neues Windows-11-Design entsprechend der Aktualisierung des Betriebssystems, das WinForms-Anwendungen ein flüssiges Look and Feel verleiht.
• Alle relevanten Libraries und Tools von Telerik UI unterstützen das Official Release von .NET 7. Entwickler können ihre Projekte upgraden oder neue Projekte mit .NET 7 starten.
• Um Standards für Barrierefreiheit wie WAI-ARIA, Section 508 und WCAG 2.1. zu erfüllen, führt Progress in Telerik Erweiterungen an Attributen und an der Tastatursteuerung ein. Zudem wurden die Dokumentationen und Demos aller Telerik-Produkte mit Fokus auf Barrierefreiheit aktualisiert und enthalten auch aktualisierte VPAT-Templates.
• Auch für weitere Telerik-UI-Bibliotheken veröffentlichte Progress Verbesserungen und neue Komponenten. Dazu zählen die Libraries  Progress Telerik UI for ASP.NET MVC,  Progress Telerik  UI for ASP.NET Core,  Progress Telerik UI for ASP.NET AJAX,  Progress Telerik UI for Xamarin, Progress Telerik UI for WPF, Progress Telerik UI for WinForms und Progress Telerik UI for WinUI.
• Zu den Neuerungen der Telerik Productivity Tools zählen der verbesserte Native Blazor Report Viewer in Progress Telerik Reporting und geteilte Datenquellen im Web Report Designer. Die Generierung von Mock-Objekten in Visual Studio mit Progress Telerik JustMock wurde um Support für .NET 7 erweitert. Progress Telerik Fiddler Everywhere bietet eine kohärentere Filterung und eine neue Option für den Export von Requests.

Neuerungen von Kendo UI:

• Die Libraries ProgressKendo UI for Angular, Progress KendoReact, Progress Kendo UI for Vue und Progress Kendo UI for jQuery kommen mit zahlreichen neuen Komponenten, Features und Verbesserungen der Datengitter. Zudem unterstützt Kendo UI Angular 15.
• Das neue Release bietet Verbesserungen für Barrierefreiheit und neue Features für Tastatursteuerung, um die Standards WAI-ARIA, Section 508 und WCAG 2.1 zu erfüllen. Zudem bringt es ein neues Farbfeld namens Ocean Blue A11Y mit.
• Kendo UI for Angular kommt mit der neuen Komponente ActionSheet und Verbesserungen am Datengitter.
• KendoReact wurde mit einem neuen PDFViewer ausgestattet. Damit können Entwickler PDF-Dateien direkt im Browser prüfen, ohne sie herunterladen zu müssen. Der Viewer bietet Druck- und Speicherfunktionen, eine integrierte, barrierefreie und lokalisierte Toolbar sowie unterschiedliche Konfigurationen. Datengitter- und Chart-Erweiterungen, eine neue Musteranwendung und Verbesserungen für Barrierefreiheit zählen zu den weiteren Neuerungen von KendoReact.
• Kendo UI for Vue wurde mit den neuen Komponenten Compact Data Grid und TreeList ausgestattet und bringt jetzt über 100 Komponenten mit.
• Kendo UI for jQuery enthält drei neue Komponenten und bietet Support für Floating Labels und CSP.

Progress facilitates application development

After purchasing the NoSQL specialist MarkLogic, Progress has now released Release R1 2023 of Progress Telerik and Progress Kendo UI.

At the start of January 2023 Progress announced it has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire MarkLogic, a leader in managing complex data and metadata and a Vector Capital portfolio company. Upon closing of the planned transaction, MarkLogic is expected to enhance Progress’ commitment of delivering the best products to develop, deploy and manage high-impact applications by providing a unified enterprise-grade semantic data platform.

MarkLogic offers a proprietary, multi-model NoSQL database, along with robust semantic metadata management and AI capabilities, complementing the larger Progress product portfolio.

Now there are new products: The release R1 2023 by Progress Telerik and Progress Kendo UI has arrived. The UI libraries for software development with .NET and JavaScript come with upgrades for design and accessibility, allow even more individualization and support .NET 7 and Angular 15.

With the extended functions of Telerik and Kendo UI, developers can quickly and easily create attractive user interfaces that meet the needs of all users.

The Progress ThemeBuilder Pro tool for implementing designs in UI components with Telerik and Kendo UI expanded progress with new features such as custom fonts, font icons and metric variables. They allow developers to make their UI components uncomplicated without CSS and implement brand guidelines or design systems.

New features of Progress Telerik:

• Progress Telerik UI for Blazor comes with the new components Signature, Avatar, Chip and ChipList. It also offers updates such as a compact mode for the data grid component and adaptive rendering in date and select type components.
• Progress Telerik UI for .NET MAUI has on board new components Toolbar, ImageEditor, ProgressBar, Accordion and SignaturePad.
• Progress Telerik UI for WinForms contains a new Windows-11 design according to the update of the operating system that gives WinForms applications a liquid look and feel.
• All relevant libraries and tools from Telerik UI support the Official Release of .NET 7. Developers can upgrade their projects or start new projects with .NET 7.
• In order to meet standards for accessibility such as WAI-ARIA, Section 508 and WCAG 2.1, Progress introduces extensions to attributes and keyboard control in Telerik. In addition, the documentation and demos of all Telerik products were updated with a focus on accessibility and also contain updated VPAT templates.
• Progress improvements and new components have also been published for further Telerik-UI libraries. These include the Libraries Progress Telerik UI for ASP.NET MVC, Progress Telerik UI for ASP.NET Core, Progress Telerik UI for ASP.NET AJAX, Progress Telerik UI for Xamarin, Progress Telerik UI for WPF, Progress Telerik UI for WinForms and Progress Telerik UI for WinUI.
• The latest developments in Telerik Productivity Tools include improved Native Blazor Report Viewer in Progress Telerik Reporting and shared data sources in the Web Report Designer. New features of Kendo UI:

• The Libraries ProgressKendo UI for Angular, Progress KendoReact, Progress Kendo UI for Vue and Progress Kendo UI for jQuery come with numerous new components, features and improvements in the data grid. Kendo UI supports Angular 15.
• The new release offers improvements for accessibility and new features for keyboard control to meet WAI-ARIA, Section 508 and WCAG 2.1 standards. It also brings a new colour field called Ocean Blue A11Y.
• Kendo UI for Angular comes with the new ActionSheet component and improvements to the data grid.
• KendoReact has been equipped with a new PDFViewer. This allows developers to check PDF files directly in the browser without having to download them. The viewer offers print and storage functions, an integrated, barrier-free and localized toolbar as well as different configurations. Data grid and chart extensions, a new pattern application and improvements for accessibility are among the further innovations of KendoReact.
• Kendo UI for Vue has been equipped with the new Compact Data Grid and TreeList components and now has over 100 components.
• Kendo UI for jQuery contains three new components and provides support for floating labels and CSP.
