Eva-Maria Glenz Area Vice President Commvault DACH
As organizations face increasing cyber threats, regulatory demands, and operational complexity, cyber resilience has become a strategic priority. Against this backdrop, Commvault has established a unified DACH region and appointed Eva-Maria Glenz to oversee operations across Germany, Austria, and Switzerland.

Commvault has named Eva-Maria Glenz Area Vice President of its newly created DACH region, bringing Germany, Austria, and Switzerland under a single leadership structure. In her new role, Glenz will be responsible for regional strategy, business development, customer engagement, and partner relations across the three markets.

The move reflects the strategic importance of the DACH market for Commvault. Organizations throughout the region are facing growing challenges related to data protection, regulatory compliance, business continuity, and cyber resilience. As digital transformation initiatives continue to expand, companies are increasingly dependent on secure and recoverable data environments.

According to Commvault, Glenz brings more than fifteen years of leadership experience in information technology. Her professional background spans traditional infrastructure environments, mainframe technologies, cloud computing, and managed services.

Before joining Commvault, she served as Area Vice President and Country Manager Germany at BMC Software. In that position, she worked closely with customers and partners on automation and mainframe modernization initiatives. Earlier in her career, she held leadership roles at Evernex, Plusserver, and Bechtle. Her experience in channel-driven business environments is expected to play a significant role as Commvault continues to strengthen its ecosystem of partners across the region.

In her first public statement following the appointment, Glenz emphasized the importance of cyber resilience for organizations operating in the DACH market. Businesses must be able to maintain operations despite cyberattacks, infrastructure failures, or other disruptions. She stated that she intends to leverage her experience while working closely with customers and partners to strengthen resilience across the region.

The appointment comes at a time when organizations are increasing investments in cybersecurity, backup, recovery, and resilience technologies. The growing adoption of artificial intelligence, hybrid cloud architectures, and data-driven business models has intensified the need for reliable protection and rapid recovery capabilities.

From Commvault’s perspective, the DACH market represents a strategically important region. Richard Gadd, Senior Vice President EMEA, highlighted Glenz’s experience across the public sector, channel ecosystem, and broader enterprise market. He noted that customers and partners are expected to benefit from her leadership as organizations seek to strengthen resilience strategies.

Glenz also shared on LinkedIn personal reflections on her career move, describing cyber resilience as one of the defining leadership challenges of the current era. She pointed to rising cyber threats, regulatory pressure, and increasing technological complexity as factors making resilience a business imperative rather than simply an IT concern.

For Commvault, the appointment represents another step in expanding its regional presence and customer engagement efforts. For organizations throughout Germany, Austria, and Switzerland, the development highlights the growing convergence of data security, cyber recovery, and operational resilience in modern enterprise environments.
