Value Added Distributor Concept International has expanded its portfolio of rugged mobile computers for professional use. The new PA series from DT Research—comprising the DT302PA, DT312PA, and DT323PA models—is powered by Intel Core Ultra processors and runs on Windows 11 IoT Enterprise.

The DT302PA, DT312PA, and DT323PA models are powered by Intel Core Ultra processors and run on Windows 11 IoT Enterprise. Designed for critical tasks in industry, logistics, construction, emergency services, and public safety, these devices enable data-intensive AI workloads directly on the terminal without requiring a permanent cloud connection.

Edge Computing and AI Processing Without Cloud Reliance

A central feature of the new tablet generation is the integrated hardware acceleration for Artificial Intelligence (AI) applications. The installed processors deliver an AI performance of up to 24 TOPS (Trillion Operations Per Second). This computing capacity allows complex data and video stream analyses to be performed locally and in real time.

For field users, this means a significant reduction in latency and independence from cellular network coverage. Typical deployment scenarios include the evaluation of drone footage during police or firefighting operations, mobile video-based quality control of infrastructure such as tracks or bridges, and working with digital twins directly on construction sites.

The devices are powered by Intel Core Ultra 5 or Ultra 7 Series 2 processors. Depending on the configuration, the systems offer up to 64 GB of RAM and fast SSD storage media with capacities ranging from 512 GB to 2 TB.

Three Display Sizes for Specialized Operation Profiles

To meet the diverse requirements of field service, the PA series includes three model variants, differing primarily in screen diagonal and weight:

  • DT302PA: This model features a 10.1-inch display with a resolution of 1920 × 1200 pixels. With dimensions of 195.6 x 272 x 20 mm and a weight of 1.32 kg, it is designed for mobile data collection and inspections.
  • DT312PA: The mid-sized variant offers an 11.6-inch screen with 1920 × 1080 pixels. The device weighs 1.55 kg with dimensions of 212 x 316 x 20 mm, targeting standard field workflows.
  • DT323PA: The largest model features a 13.3-inch diagonal (1920 × 1080 pixels) and weighs 1.72 kg with dimensions of 325 x 273,5 x 20 mm. It is ideal for graphics-intensive applications and data visualization.

All touchscreens offer high brightness of up to 1,000 nits, ensuring readability under direct sunlight. The construction height of all three models is limited to 20 mm.

Rigorous Durability and Interface Concept

The tablets are certified to IP65 standards and meet MIL-STD-810H military criteria. Consequently, the housings are dustproof, protected against water jets, and resistant to shocks and vibrations. The operational range is designed for temperatures from minus 10 to plus 60 degrees Celsius and humidity levels up to 90 percent.

For data transmission, Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.3 are standard; optionally, the devices can be equipped with 4G or 5G cellular modules and GPS. Additional factory options include 2D barcode scanners, Smart Card/CAC readers for secure authentication, and highly durable Fischer connectors for peripheral connection under extreme conditions. For the healthcare sector, a white housing variant certified according to EN60601-1-2 is also available.

Continuous operation across shifts is supported by hot-swappable batteries that can be exchanged while the device is running. Furthermore, the quick-access SSD can be replaced without tools.

Economic Efficiency and Availability

A major focus during product development was investment protection for existing customers. The housing design and form factor are guaranteed to remain unchanged for at least five years. Consequently, existing accessories such as vehicle mounts, wall mounts, desktop docking stations, snap-on keyboards, and interchangeable batteries from previous generations remain fully forward-compatible.

The PA series tablets are available immediately. Net starting prices for the configuration with an Intel Core Ultra 5 225U, 16 GB RAM, and a 512 GB SSD range from 3,455 Euros (DT302PA) to 3,545 Euros (DT12PA) and 3,780 Euros (DT323PA). The manufacturer provides a three-year warranty, which can optionally be extended to five years. Concept International also offers a preparation service for direct deployment.

Preview

With the PA series, DT Research establishes hardware-based AI capabilities in the field of rugged mobile computers. The combination of high local processing power and a guaranteed five-year form factor consistency is aimed directly at enterprises that need to align long-term investment security with modern edge computing requirements.
