Marc Fischer wird Deutschland-Chef von Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) und Johannes Koch übernimmt die Leitung der HPE-Region Zentraleuropa (English Version below).
Marc Fischer, bisher General Manager & Vice President Infrastructure Products & Services DACH, wird ab 1. Februar die Deutschlandgeschäfte des IT-Unternehmens Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) übernehmen. Er folgt damit auf seinen bisherigen und künftigen Chef Johannes Koch, der als Senior Vice President and Managing Director for Central Europe at Hewlett Packard Enterprise die Leitung der neu geschaffenen HPE-Region Zentraleuropa übernommen hat, zu der auch Deutschland gehört.
„Es war mir eine Ehre, HPE Deutschland in den letzten drei Jahren vorstehen zu dürfen“, sagt Johannes Koch. „Das war eine außergewöhnliche Zeit – trotz aufeinanderfolgender Krisen gelang es dem Team, das Unternehmen geschäftlich, inhaltlich und kulturell große Schritte nach vorne zu bringen. Ich übergebe jetzt die Geschäfte mit dem beruhigenden Gefühl, dass sie bei Marc Fischer in sehr guten Händen sind.“
Fischer war zuletzt für HPEs IT-Infrastrukturgeschäft in Deutschland, Österreich und der Schweiz verantwortlich, außerdem war er einer von vier Geschäftsführern der deutschen HPE-Gesellschaft (Hewlett-Packard GmbH). Jetzt wird er Vorsitzender der Geschäftsführung und übernimmt die Gesamtvertriebsleitung für Deutschland.
Zu Fischers Hauptaufgaben gehört der weitere Ausbau des Cloud-Geschäfts in Deutschland unter dem Markennamen HPE GreenLake. HPE bietet inzwischen sein komplettes Produktportfolio in Form von Cloud-Dienstleistungen an – parallel zum klassischen Verkauf von IT-Infrastrukturlösungen und IT-Dienstleistungen.
Marc Fischer: Karrierestart mit Dualem Studium
Marc Fischer bringt für seinen neuen Job über 35 Jahre Erfahrung in der IT-Branche mit. Wie viele andere leitende Manager des Unternehmens startete auch er seine Karriere mit einem Dualen Studium (damals: „Berufsakademie“) bei HP. Nach 17 Jahren folgte der Wechsel zu IBM als Leiter des PC-Geschäfts in Deutschland, Österreich und der Schweiz. Weitere Stationen waren die Geschäftsführung bei Lenovo Deutschland und Österreich sowie die Leitung der Systems & Technology Group bei IBM in Deutschland und Nordosteuropa. Im Jahr 2013 kehrte Fischer wieder zu HP zurück und setzte seine Laufbahn nach der Firmenaufspaltung bei Hewlett Packard Enterprise fort.
„HPE ist in einer extrem guten Position, um die nächste Ära der Unternehmens-IT zu prägen“, sagt Marc Fischer. „Kunden wollen ihre IT überall als Cloud-Dienstleistung beziehen – also nicht nur von externen Cloud-Plattformen, sondern auch in ihrem eigenen Rechenzentrum oder an verteilten Standorten. HPE: Fischer country leader Germany
Marc Fischer is the new Germany head of Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) and Johannes Koch takes over as head of HPE’s Central Europe region.
Marc Fischer, previously General Manager & Vice President Infrastructure Products & Services DACH, will take over the German operations of IT company Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) as of February 1. He succeeds his once and future boss Johannes Koch, who has taken over as Senior Vice President and Managing Director for Central Europe at Hewlett Packard Enterprise, leading the newly created HPE Central Europe region, which includes Germany.
„It has been an honor to chair HPE Germany for the past three years,“ said Johannes Koch. „It has been an extraordinary time – despite successive crises, the team managed to take the company big steps forward in terms of business, content and culture. I now hand over the business with the reassuring feeling that it is in very good hands with Marc Fischer.“
Fischer was most recently responsible for HPE’s IT infrastructure business in Germany, Austria and Switzerland, and was also one of four managing directors of the German HPE company (Hewlett-Packard GmbH). Now he will become chairman of the board and take over overall sales management for Germany.
Fischer’s main tasks include the further expansion of the cloud business in Germany under the brand name HPE GreenLake. HPE now offers its complete product portfolio in the form of cloud services – in parallel with the classic sale of IT infrastructure solutions and IT services.
Marc Fischer: Career start with dual study program
Marc Fischer brings more than 35 years of experience in the IT industry to his new job. Like many other senior managers in the company, he started his career with a dual study program (at that time: „Berufsakademie“) at HP. After 17 years, he moved to IBM as head of the PC business in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. Further stations were the management at Lenovo Germany and Austria as well as the management of the Systems & Technology Group at IBM in Germany and Northeast Europe. In 2013, Fischer returned to HP and continued his career at Hewlett Packard Enterprise after the company split.
