HPE: Bernhardt Vice President Distribution

Als Vice President berichtet Bernhardt an Ewington und verantwortet die Strategie und das Geschäft mit HPEs weltweiten Distributoren. Seine Aufgabe ist es, gemeinsam mit den Vertriebs-, Marketing-, Service- und Enablement-Teams von HPE die Distributoren zu nachhaltigem Geschäftserfolg zu führen und für eine optimale Abstimmung der Strategien und operativen Prozesse zu sorgen.

„Die Zusammenarbeit mit der Distribution zieht sich wie ein roter Faden durch meine bisherige Karriere bei HP und HPE – deshalb ist die neue Rolle für mich ein Traumjob“, sagt Michael Bernhardt. „In ihrer Doppelrolle als Großhändler und Channel-Entwickler spielt die Distribution eine Schlüsselrolle für unser Partnergeschäft und damit für HPE insgesamt. Dementsprechend will ich zwei Ziele gleichzeitig erreichen: unser transaktionales Geschäft mit IT-Infrastruktur stärken und den Channel bei der Transformation in Richtung Services und Solutions unterstützen, zum Beispiel auf Basis unserer Hybrid-Cloud-Plattform HPE GreenLake“.

Michael Bernhardt begann seine Karriere bei HP im Jahr 1996. Nach einem einjährigen Intermezzo bei Agilent Technologies kehrte er im Jahr 2000 als Account Manager für mehrere Distributoren in Deutschland zu HP zurück. Im Jahr 2011 übernahm er die Verantwortung für den Distributionsvertrieb in EMEA. Zuletzt war er bei HPE als Global Account Manager für den Distributor TD Synnex tätig. Bernhardt hat einen Abschluss in Volkswirtschaftslehre der Universität Tübingen und lebt in der Nähe von Böblingen.

As vice president, Bernhardt reports to Ewington and is responsible for the strategy and business with HPE’s global distributors. His role is to partner with HPE’s sales, marketing, service and enablement teams to lead distributors to sustainable business success and ensure optimal alignment of strategies and operational processes.

„Working with distribution has been a common thread throughout my career at HP and HPE so far – that’s why this new role is a dream job for me,“ said Michael Bernhardt. „In its dual role as wholesaler and channel developer, distribution plays a key role for our partner business and therefore for HPE as a whole. Accordingly, I want to achieve two goals simultaneously: strengthening our transactional business with IT infrastructure and supporting the channel in its transformation towards services and solutions, for example based on our hybrid cloud platform HPE GreenLake.“

Michael Bernhardt started his career at HP in 1996. After a one-year interlude at Agilent Technologies, he returned to HP in 2000 as an account manager for several distributors in Germany. In 2011, he took over responsibility for channel sales in EMEA. Most recently he worked for HPE as Global Account Manager for the distributor TD Synnex. Bernhardt holds a degree in economics from the University of Tübingen and lives near Böblingen.
