| Der Englischunterricht einer sechsten Klasse am Willibald-Gluck-Gymnasium in Neumarkt wurde im Schuljahr 2022/23 komplett mit Brainix durchgeführt: Vier Stunden lernten die Schülerinnen und Schüler selbstständig mit der Software, zwei Stunden wurden in klassischer Unterrichtsform die jeweiligen Grammatikthemen der Lektion behandelt. Studiendirektor Martin Sachs, der die Klasse in Englisch unterrichtete, zieht eine positive Bilanz, sowohl was die Konzentration als auch die Leistung betrifft. Die Schülerinnen und Schüler bewerteten das Lernen mit Brainix als „leichter“ und auch als „erfolgreicher“. Ein wesentlicher Grund für die Entscheidung zugunsten von Brainix war der ganzheitliche Ansatz der Software: „Weil es nicht nur einzelne Tools, sondern ganze Lektionen mit den entsprechenden Inhalten, Übungen, Grammatik und Vokabeln sowie Monitoring-Möglichkeiten in einem Gesamtpaket liefert, ist das Angebot ideal für einen wirklich digitalen Unterricht“. Englischlehrer Martin Sachs sieht in der Software – im Gegensatz zu Tools, die nur einzelne Aspekte unterstützen – die Möglichkeit, den Herausforderungen einer Ganztagsklasse mit 23 Lernenden gerecht zu werden. Gesteigerte Aufmerksamkeit Vor allem in Bezug auf die Aufmerksamkeit und Konzentration beim Lernen haben sich seine Erwartungen voll erfüllt: „Es ist bemerkenswert, wie die Software dafür sorgt, dass die Schülerinnen und Schüler sich mehrheitlich auf den Lernstoff konzentrieren, und zwar permanent. In dieser Hinsicht wirkt die Software Wunder“. Die erhöhte Konzentration habe sich bei den meisten auch in verbesserten Leistungen niedergeschlagen. Beliebte Leistungstests Die am Ende des Schuljahres befragten Schülerinnen und Schüler bewerten ihre Erfahrungen mit dem neuen Lernsystem positiv. Sie loben die abwechslungsreichen Geschichten, die Möglichkeiten zum Schreiben und Sprechen in der Fremdsprache sowie die spielerischen Elemente, die die Software bietet. Besonders beliebt sind bei den Lernenden, unabhängig von ihrem persönlichen Leistungsstand, die Challenges, die Tests, mit denen der Lernstand am Ende jeder Lektion überprüft wird. | The English lessons of a sixth grade class at the Willibald-Gluck-Gymnasium in Neumarkt were conducted completely with Brainix in the school year 2022/23: For four hours, the students learned independently with the software, and for two hours, the respective grammar topics of the lesson were dealt with in a classical teaching format. In this respect, the software works wonders.“ The increased concentration has also translated into improved performance for most, he said. Popular performance tests The students surveyed at the end of the school year rate their experience with the new learning system positively. They praise the varied stories, the opportunities to write and speak in the foreign language, and the playful elements offered by the software. Pupils love the challenges that check the learning level at the end of each lesson, regardless of their personal level of proficiency. |
