Dabei setzt das Unternehmen vor allem auf Partnerschaften und Kooperationen mit Systemhäusern, Softwareanbietern (ISVs) und Public Cloud Providern. „Ich habe den deutschen Markt immer als einen der wichtigsten Märkte in Europa gesehen, den es zu erobern gilt. Gerade kostensensible Mittelständler haben festgestellt, dass sie viele vermeintliche Vorteile der Hyperscaler – wie etwa eine grenzenlose Skalierbarkeit oder minutengenaue Ressourcenkalkulation – in der Geschäftspraxis gar nicht nutzen, da die entsprechenden Workloads oder Applikationen dies nicht erfordern oder nicht unterstützen, wie beispielsweise klassische ERPs oder Datenspeicher.

A market survey just published by vshosting has shown that there is a strong trend across Europe towards „cloud repatriation“, i.e. from the public back to the private cloud. Cost-sensitive SMEs in particular have found that they do not use many of the supposed advantages of hyperscalers – such as limitless scalability or minute-by-minute resource calculation – in business practice, as the corresponding workloads or applications do not require or support this, such as classic ERPs or data storage.
