| „Wir sehen KI als einen grundlegenden Faktor, der es uns ermöglicht, etwas, das bisher sehr schnell war, auf ein anderes Geschwindigkeitsniveau zu bringen“, betonte Paulo Rosado, Gründer und CEO von OutSystems. Er demonstrierte das neue System Mentor, früher bekannt als Project Morpheus, live auf der Bühne der OutSystems ONE Konferenz. Es ist ab sofort als Early Access verfügbar und soll die Softwareentwicklung und das Workflow-Management verändern. Mentor kombiniert KI-basierte Anwendungsentwicklung, Optimierung, automatisierte Qualitätskontrolle und KI-Agenten unter einer zentralen Governance. Damit will Mentor die Produktivität von IT-Teams steigern und gleichzeitig hohe Qualitätsstandards aufrechterhalten.
„Wir bauen missionskritische Systeme in wenigen Wochen oder Monaten und können Legacy-Software durch flexible Systeme ersetzen. Mentor hat die gleiche Vision wie Morpheus, geht aber darüber hinaus. Die Aufgabe ist sehr komplex, aber wir können sie lösen. Wir haben das Potenzial, mit Morpheus alle Teile des Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) abzudecken“, sagt Rosado. Generative KI verändert bereits den Software-Lebenszyklus. Das zeigt sich daran, dass 93 Prozent der IT-Führungskräfte planen, ihre Investitionen in KI-basierte Lösungen zu erhöhen, um Produktivität und Wertschöpfung deutlich zu steigern“, sagt Rosado. „Reine Beschleunigung ohne angemessene Kontrolle kann jedoch zu technischen Schulden und Sicherheitslücken führen. Mit OutSystems Mentor können Entwicklerinnen und Entwickler Full-Stack-Anwendungen innerhalb von Minuten erstellen – ohne Abstriche bei Qualität, Sicherheit oder Governance machen zu müssen“, so Rosado weiter. Mentor setzt gleich zu Beginn des Entwicklungsprozesses an, in der Entdeckungs- und Prototyping-Phase. IT-Teams können so ihre Ideen und ersten Designansätze testen, bevor sie mit der Entwicklung im großen Stil beginnen. Dazu beschreiben sie die Anwendung, die sie benötigen, um ihre Bedürfnisse und Visionen zu erfüllen. Mentor generiert daraus eine erste Version mit Front-End-Funktionalität, Datenmodellen und integrierter Geschäftslogik.
