ADN takes on the role of aggregator for Commvault MSP SaaS – bringing AI-powered cloud data security to the German channel.

Bochum-based distributor ADN Distribution GmbH is significantly expanding its collaboration with Commvault: as the new MSP SaaS aggregator for Germany, ADN will now bundle sales, technical support, and service for the entire Commvault Cloud platform. For resellers, MSPs, and system houses, this means a central point of contact for modern data security, cyber recovery, and identity resilience – including AI-powered features that were previously difficult to access.

From distributor to cloud aggregator

What sounds like a simple portfolio expansion is, in practice, a strategic move with tangible consequences for the entire German channel. ADN was already acting as a distributor for Commvault, but its new role as an aggregator for Commvault’s MSP SaaS offering goes much further. In the future, partners will be able to purchase the Commvault Cloud Platform exclusively through ADN: a cloud-native, AI-powered complete system for data security, cyber recovery, and identity protection.

The timing is no coincidence. The market for cybersecurity and cloud data protection is growing rapidly, driven by a combination of increasing threats, increasingly complex IT landscapes, and stricter regulatory requirements. Whether it’s NIS2, DORA, or industry-specific compliance requirements, companies are under considerable pressure not only to secure their data, but also to keep it verifiably recoverable. This is exactly where the Commvault Cloud Platform comes in – and ADN, as an aggregator, is now bringing these capabilities to a wider audience.

Unified Data Vault: Protection for the next generation of workloads

A technical highlight of the expanded partnership is the new Commvault solution Unified Data Vault – a product specifically designed to protect S3-based data and currently available in early access. General availability is planned for spring 2026.

The concept is as simple as it is effective: Unified Data Vault provides a Commvault-managed, S3-compatible endpoint. Backups are automatically encrypted, deduplicated, and governed via this endpoint – completely agentless. This means that companies can secure their S3-based data – for example, from modern applications, AI workloads, or cloud-native architectures – in an immutable and policy-based manner without having to install additional software on each system.

This represents significant added value for managed service providers: less administrative effort, greater security, and a clear promise to end customers. Greg Bailey, Area Vice President MSP at Commvault, sums it up: ADN has always proven its ability to quickly translate technological innovations into market-ready offerings for MSPs and system houses.

Strategic partnership with channel depth

Hermann Ramacher, Managing Director of ADN Distribution GmbH, emphasizes that demand for cloud-based security architectures has grown rapidly in recent years – not least due to new compliance requirements. With the expansion of the Commvault partnership, ADN partners will now be able to provide their customers with a forward-looking, AI-supported platform for data security and cyber resilience. According to Ramacher, the Commvault Cloud is the next logical step for companies that want to modernize their data sets and protect them against increasingly complex threats.

Commvault also sounds genuinely enthusiastic. Jamie Farrelly, EMEA VP Channel Sales, describes ADN as a long-standing strategic partner and sees the new aggregator model as an opportunity to work together to better meet the needs of partners and customers – especially where modern workloads, AI applications, and strict compliance requirements converge.

What this means in practice is that resellers and MSPs in Germany will in future be able to purchase the complete Commvault Cloud Platform exclusively through ADN – securing not only classic enterprise infrastructures but also modern S3 and AI workloads. In addition, attractive service opportunities are opening up in the areas of compliance, recovery architectures, and cloud-native security concepts – precisely the areas in which customers are currently seeking support most urgently.

Webinar on March 24, 2026: Practice instead of theory

To ensure that the new partnership does not remain merely on paper, ADN has announced a webinar for March 24, 2026, where partners can learn how to use the Commvault Cloud Platform in sales and in their own portfolios. Registration is now open – and given the relevance of the topic, demand is likely to be high.

For the German channel, the partnership sends a clear signal: complex cybersecurity and cloud-native data security no longer have to be an obstacle. With ADN as the central aggregator and Commvault as the technological platform, a constellation is created that enables MSPs and resellers to confidently implement even the most demanding customer projects.
