Persönlicher Austausch in familiärer Atmosphäre
Die Veranstalter zeigten sich zufrieden mit der Expo. Oliver Gorges, Director Sales & Marketing von ITscope, resümierte: „Die FutureWork Expo hat erneut gezeigt, wie wichtig persönliche Gespräche in unserer Branche sind. Es war großartig, so viele bekannte Gesichter wiederzusehen und neue Kontakte zu knüpfen. Die Creme de la Creme des Channels war auf jeden Fall anwesend!“
Begeistert zeigten sich auch die Besucher. Helmut Schmidt von Ganymed Electronics & Services sagte: „Ich finde es toll, dass es solche Veranstaltungen gibt und ich schätze es sehr, mit vielen IT-Firmen ins Gespräch zu kommen.“

Zahlreiche Gespräche und positive Rückmeldungen
Unter den Besuchern herrschte eine familiäre Atmosphäre, die intensive und zielführende Gespräche ermöglichte. Auch die Aussteller zogen ein positives Fazit. Judith Öchsner, Vertriebsleiterin bei dexxIT, betonte: „Die FutureWork Expo bot eine hervorragende Möglichkeit, mit unseren Kunden und Partnern im direkten Austausch zu bleiben. Gemeinsam mit Canon konnten wir zeigen, wie moderne Technologien die Arbeitswelt effizient, flexibel und zukunftssicher machen.“
Der neue Managing Director von ITscope, Dr. Oliver Charles, nutzte die Gelegenheit, Channel-Luft zu schnuppern. „Ich habe unglaublich viel von diesem Event mitgenommen“, resümierte er. „Der Dialog mit unseren Partnern und Kunden hat mir wertvolle Einblicke in die Bedürfnisse und Herausforderungen der Branche gegeben“ – ein gelungener Einstand für Charles. „Ein eingespieltes ITscope-Team, spannende Vorträge, sowie eine einzigartige Location machten den Tag perfekt “, schließt er ab.

Zum 1. Juni hat Dr. Oliver Charles seine Tätigkeit als Managing Director bei ITscope aufgenommen. Mit seiner langjährigen Erfahrung im Bereich digitaler Geschäftsmodelle unterstützt er künftig gemeinsam mit Mitgründer Benjamin Mund die strategische Weiterentwicklung des Unternehmens.

Mit Weitblick und frischen Impulsen die Weichen neu stellen

Oliver Charles bringt umfassende Erfahrung aus über 15 Jahren im Digital- und E-Commerce-Umfeld mit – zuletzt als Chief Solutions Officer und Teil der Geschäftsleitung bei der OXID eSales AG.
„Ich freue mich sehr darauf, ITscope gemeinsam mit dem starken Team weiterzuentwickeln und neue Impulse für unsere Kunden zu setzen“, sagt Charles. „ITscope schafft etwas, das im ITK-Channel unverzichtbar geworden ist: echte Markttransparenz und durchgängige Prozesse zwischen Systemhäusern, Distributoren und Herstellern. Ich sehe großes Potenzial, ITscope als zentralen Hebel für Digitalisierung und Wachstum in der Branche weiter auszubauen – und freue mich, viele unserer Kunden schon am 4. Juni bei der ITscope FutureWork Expo in Karlsruhe persönlich kennenzulernen.“

Ein starkes Signal für die zukünftige Ausrichtung von ITscope

Benjamin Mund, der ITscope 2003 gemeinsam mit Alexander Münkel und Stefan Reger gegründet hat, begrüßt den Einstieg von Oliver Charles als wichtigen Impuls: „Nach über zwei Jahrzehnten intensiver Aufbauarbeit ist es für ITscope genau der richtige Zeitpunkt, neue Perspektiven ins Führungsteam einzubinden. ITscope hat sich in dieser Zeit enorm weiterentwickelt – zuletzt auch als Teil der Exact Group. Wir sind überzeugt, dass Oliver genau die richtige Person ist, um ITscope beim nächsten Entwicklungsschritt zu begleiten.“

An early start and professional inspiration

Numerous guests filled the hall by 9 a.m. After a brief welcome, the event began with brief informal presentations by the exhibitors and sponsors in attendance. Next, Paul Martin (equipme) delivered a keynote speech on the main stage. His thesis that the reseller era is ending sparked lively discussions.

Another highlight was TD SYNNEX’s presentation on Microsoft Copilot. The „Vision Hub“ lecture room was filled to capacity, underscoring the great interest in practical AI use cases. Topi’s presentation on next-generation IT procurement also met with great interest. Further presentations by IONOS, Securepoint, and ESET provided additional insights into topics such as cloud infrastructures and IT security.

Personal exchange in a friendly atmosphere

The organizers were satisfied with the expo. Oliver Gorges, ITscope’s Director of Sales & Marketing, summed it up: „The FutureWork Expo has once again shown how important personal conversations are in our industry. It was great to see so many familiar faces again and make new contacts. The crème de la crème of the channel was definitely there!“

Visitors were enthusiastic as well. Helmut Schmidt from Ganymed Electronics & Services said: „I think it’s great that such events exist, and I appreciate the opportunity to talk to so many IT companies.“

There were numerous discussions and positive feedback.

The visitors were friendly, which facilitated intensive and productive discussions. The exhibitors also drew positive conclusions. Judith Öchsner, the sales manager at dexxIT, emphasized, „The FutureWork Expo offered an excellent opportunity to maintain direct contact with our customers and partners. Together with Canon, we demonstrated how modern technologies can make the workplace more efficient, flexible, and future-proof.“

ITscope’s new Managing Director, Dr. Oliver Charles, took the opportunity to familiarize himself with the channel. „I gained a great deal from this event,“ he said. „The dialogue with our partners and customers provided valuable insights into the industry’s needs and challenges.“ It was a successful debut for Charles. „A well-coordinated ITscope team, exciting presentations, and a unique location made the day perfect,“ he concluded.

Dr. Oliver Charles took up his position as managing director at ITscope on June 1. With his many years of experience in digital business models, he will support the company’s strategic development alongside co-founder Benjamin Mund.

Setting a new course with vision and fresh ideas

Charles brings over 15 years of comprehensive experience in the digital and e-commerce environment to the role. Most recently, he served as Chief Solutions Officer and a member of the management board at OXID eSales AG.

“I am very much looking forward to further developing ITscope with the strong team and providing new impetus for our customers,” Charles said.

„ITscope has created something indispensable in the ITC channel: genuine market transparency and end-to-end processes between system houses, distributors, and manufacturers. Strong signal for the future direction of ITscope

Benjamin Mund founded ITscope in 2003 with Alexander Münkel and Stefan Reger. He welcomes Oliver Charles‘ arrival as an important impetus: „After more than two decades of intensive development work, it is exactly the right time for ITscope to bring new perspectives into the management team. ITscope has grown tremendously during this time, especially as part of the Exact Group. We are convinced that Oliver is exactly the right person to accompany ITscope on its next step in its development.”
