Das Oracle Compute Infrastructure (OCI) Speicher-Tiering ist verfügbar mit Commvault Complete Data Protection und Backup & Recovery. Es soll helfen, die die Kosten für die OCI-Datensicherung durch intelligentes Storage Tiering mit Infrequent Access (IA) und Combined Tier Support zu reduzieren. Die Commvault Platform verfügt jetzt über einen Security Information and Event Management (SIEM)-Konnektor, mit dem sich Warnungen, Ereignisse und Audit-Daten über Webhooks-APIs oder Syslog zwischen Plattformen austauschen lassen. Die Nutzung von Standardprotokollen gewährleistet die Interoperabilität mit praktisch jedem SIEM- oder Event Management System. Mit der neuen Commvault Plattform können Unternehmen durch die Verwendung von Single-Region-Snapshots anstelle von Multi-Region-Snapshots für die Google Cloud Platform ihre Ausgaben für Backup-Ressourcen um bis zu 30 Prozent reduzieren. Auch durch die schnellere Erledigung von Aufgaben können Unternehmen mit der neuen Version der Commvault Platform ihre Kosten signifikant senken. Google Cloud Regional Snapshot support is available with Commvault Complete Data Protection and Backup & Recovery. It is a true multi-cloud disaster recovery to ensure business continuity. Data sovereignty is maintained by keeping snapshots within the same region. This provides 30% cost savings with snapshots within one region compared to multi-region offerings.

Enhanced data protection for Azure with Azure recovery points is – Available with Commvault Complete Data Protection and Backup & Recovery. It reduces risks and lowers costs when performing backups with Azure Restore Points. This provides consistency at the application level with easy and complete recoverability. This reduces the cost of protecting Azure VMs by leveraging low-cost storage for recovery point collections.

New Data Protection support for DevOps Protection is available with Commvault Complete Data Protection and Backup & Recovery. Secure Application Development provides comprehensive protection for Azure DevOps services and includes coverage for repos, pipelines, boards, test plans and artifacts.

Oracle Compute Infrastructure (OCI) storage tiering is available with Commvault Complete Data Protection and Backup & Recovery. It is designed to help reduce OCI data protection costs through intelligent storage tiering with Infrequent Access (IA) and Combined Tier Support. It expands storage options with multiple storage tiers to reduce storage costs. It also enables advanced security and configuration options within OCI and provides enhanced protection for compute workloads.

Improved backup times for Hadoop file systems (HDFS) allow Hadoop customers to significantly reduce their incremental backup times through new integrations with differential snapshot capabilities. This is available with Commvault Complete Data Protection and Backup & Recovery. Using HDFS snapshots significantly reduces backup scan times and reduces compute time on Hadoop clusters.

Also new are improved security integrations with security information and event management (SIEM) platforms. Commvault’s SIEM Connector allows CommCell® administrators, service providers and enterprises to easily send all alerts, events and audit information to a third-party SIEM. This is available with Commvault Complete Data Protection and Backup & Recovery. Easy exporting of records across platforms via frameworks with standard protocols and APIs is thus supported for virtually any SIEM or event management platform. There is streaming of alerts, audits and events to a third-party SIEM or event management system via webhooks or syslog.

Compliance Lock protects critical data with immutable storage. It is available with Commvualt Complete Data Protection and Backup & Recovery. Protect against insider threats and external attacks with immutable storage by easily creating immutable storage from Command Center with Compliance Lock and WORM storage controls. Industry regulations, including SEC Rule 17a(f) and FINRA 4511(c), can meet them this way. They can integrate multi-person authentication (MPA) to enhance platform security and prevent destructive attacks.

With enhanced support for Dell PowerProtect DD, reduce risk and better protect your data with new integrations with Dell PowerProtect DD, the next generation of data domain appliances. This is available with Commvault Complete Data Protection and Backup & Recovery. Reduce security risks with direct API-based data transfers to Data Domain appliances and eliminate the need to mount file systems on Data Domain appliances. By leveraging existing data protection policies and simplifying configuration with API-only requests, no DDBoost plugin is required.

Amazon FSx for NetApp extends support for the NetApp-AWS combination and brings the NetApp on-premise experience to the cloud. This available with Commvualt Complete Data Protection and Backup & Recovery. So accelerate your application migration to the cloud with protection for on-premises and cloud-based NetApp services. Ensure policy-based protection of your hybrid NetApp ONTAP data landscape with Commvault IntelliSnap. This enables consistent recovery of NetApp data residing on Amazon FSx with low TRO.

Commvault has notably worked closely with Microsoft to provide the first data protection platform to support Azure Restore Points. This support ensures that applications can reliably leverage data on multiple drives and reduces expenses by allowing lower-cost storage to be used for backups.

The new version of the Commvault Platform has integration with Amazon FSx for NetApp. This provides customers with the same policy-based backup for Amazon Web Services that NetApp ONTAP provides for data in their own data center. The new version of the platform also supports the use of different storage tiers on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) to reduce the cost of protecting cloud data.

Better data security

An important aspect of data security is the timely automatic alerting of IT teams when threats occur. The Commvault Platform now has a Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) connector that allows alerts, events and audit data to be shared between platforms via Webhooks APIs or Syslog. The use of standard protocols ensures interoperability with virtually any SIEM or event management system. This gives IT security teams better visibility into anomalies and threats to their data.

Additional Savings

With the new Commvault platform, organizations can reduce their backup resource spend by up to 30 percent by using single-region snapshots instead of multi-region snapshots for Google Cloud Platform. Companies can also significantly reduce costs by completing tasks faster with the new version of Commvault Platform.
