Die Kernkompetenzen des Standorts Halle liegen in zwei Bereichen: im Vertrieb und im technischen Support. Ausbildung als zentraler Baustein

Dell Technologies hat sich in Halle zum Ziel gesetzt, nicht nur ein leistungsstarker Wirtschaftspartner, sondern auch ein exzellenter Ausbildungsbetrieb zu sein. Unter dem Dach des „Apprenticeship and Study at Dell“-Programms werden zwei Ausbildungsberufe angeboten: Fachinformatiker/in für Systemintegration sowie Industriekauffrau/-mann. Darüber hinaus besteht die Möglichkeit, ein duales Studium in Betriebswirtschaft mit Schwerpunkt Industrie an der Dualen Hochschule Gera-Eisenach zu absolvieren. Der Standort engagiert sich zudem intensiv in der Berufsorientierung für Schüler. Dazu zählen Praktika, Informationstage für Schulklassen und individuelle Beratungstermine.

Halles Engagement im Ausbildungsbereich wurde bereits mehrfach honoriert: Der Standort erhielt unter anderem die IHK-Auszeichnung „TOP Ausbildungsbetrieb“ in den Jahren 2018, 2022 und 2024. 2020 erreichte Dell Technologies das Finale des deutschlandweiten IHK-Bildungspreises in der Kategorie „Zielgruppenorientierte betriebliche Berufsorientierung“. Weitere Ehrungen sind der Transferpreis der Stadt Halle (Saale) in Kooperation mit der Martin-Luther-Universität Halle-Wittenberg sowie die Auszeichnung als „Praxispartner des Jahres 2023“ der Dualen Hochschule Gera-Eisenach. Aktuell setzt Dell Technologies in Halle ein neues Projekt um, das den Einsatz Künstlicher Intelligenz in der Berufsorientierung, Ausbildung und Personalentwicklung fördert.

Engagement für die Region

Der Raum befindet sich direkt am Standort in Halle und zeigt, wie moderner Unterricht jenseits von Frontalformaten aussehen kann: interaktive Technologien statt reiner Schulbucharbeit, flexible Raumkonzepte statt starrer Sitzordnungen und kreatives Arbeiten statt Auswendiglernen. Technologisch bietet der Klassenraum vielfältige Anwendungsmöglichkeiten: Greenscreens erlauben immersive Videoaufnahmen, Drohnen dienen dem praxisorientierten Technikunterricht, 3D-Druck und Robotik sind ebenso möglich wie Virtual-Reality-Szenarien. In diesen können beispielsweise Kfz-Mechatroniker die Reparatur einer Hochvoltbatterie gefahrlos digital trainieren.

The Halle location’s core competencies lie in sales and technical support. The company’s primary focus is on serving the public sector, medium-sized companies, and channel partners in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. Small businesses are currently facing two major challenges. Firstly, they are facing the impending end of support for Windows 10. Secondly, they are having to deal with the growing demand for AI-based solutions for PCs and notebooks. Training is an essential component of professional development

Dell Technologies has set itself the goal in Halle to be a powerful business partner and excellent training company. Within the framework of the „Apprenticeship and Study at Dell“ program, two vocational training positions are available. I am an IT Specialist for System Integration and Industrial Clerk. Furthermore, there is an opportunity to pursue a dual study program in business administration with a focus on industry at the Dual University of Gera-Eisenach. The location also plays an active role in the career orientation of students. These include internships, information days for school classes, and individual counselling appointments.

Halle’s dedication to the training sector has been recognized with numerous accolades: The location was honored with the IHK award „TOP Training Company“ in 2018, 2022, and 2024, among other distinctions. In 2020, Dell Technologies reached the finals of the nationwide IHK Education Award in the category „Target Group-Oriented Company-Sponsored Career Orientation.“ Other honors include the Transfer Prize from the city of Halle (Saale), presented in cooperation with Martin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg, and the award for „Practice Partner of the Year 2023“ from the Dual University of Gera-Eisenach. From a technological standpoint, the classroom offers a variety of application possibilities. These tools allow for immersive video recordings, hands-on technical lessons, and the use of 3D printing and robotics, as well as virtual reality scenarios. In these cases, automotive mechatronics technicians can safely train digitally on the repair of a high-voltage battery.
