| Wer den Alltag vor dem Bildschirm einmal hinter sich lassen möchte, für den ist die Ausstellung KÖRPERWELTEN in München genau das Richtige. Schon beim Betreten spürt man: Hier geht es nicht nur um Anatomie, sondern um ein Erlebnis für alle Sinne. Echte menschliche Präparate, von Ganzkörperplastinaten bis zu einzelnen Organen und transparenten Körperscheiben, machen den menschlichen Körper greifbar. Es ist faszinierend, manchmal schockierend, aber immer lehrreich.
Die Ausstellung zeigt, wie Muskeln, Organe und Körpersysteme zusammenarbeiten, und macht deutlich, wie Krankheiten oder Suchtgewohnheiten langfristig wirken. Der Besuch der Ausstellung ist ein Moment der Reflexion: über die Grenzen und Möglichkeiten des eigenen Körpers, über Gesundheit, Lebensstil und den Sinn des Lebens. Gerade für uns Tech-Menschen ist es eine willkommene Gelegenheit, einmal den Laptop zuzuschlagen und sich von etwas so Inspirierendem berühren zu lassen. Fazit: Ein Besuch der KÖRPERWELTEN lohnt sich für alle, für medizinisch Interessierte ebenso wie für alle, die neugierig auf das Wunder Mensch sind. Aber Achtung: Wer noch dabei sein möchte, sollte sich beeilen, die Ausstellung ist nur noch bis zum 14. September geöffnet. Und wer es bis dahin nicht schafft, kann gerne zur Dauerausstellung in Berlin am Alexanderplatz kommen. |

Healthy and diseased organs in direct comparison illustrate the consequences of tobacco or alcohol consumption while simultaneously opening the door to modern medical advances, such as artificial joints. Even before the first exhibition, an independent ethics committee in Los Angeles examined the educational content, ethical questions, and body donation program. Thus, KÖRPERWELTEN combines imparting knowledge with responsible engagement. For Dr. Gunther von Hagens, who popularized plastination, it’s about more than anatomy: „Bringing more light to the riddle of life with the help of death.“ In 2013, the Association of Science-Technology Centers (ASTC) awarded him for communicating science to laypeople.
