Neue Modellreihe InfiniBox SSA G4 F24NT

Diese NVMe-TLC-Flash-Lösung mit einem niedrigeren Einstiegspreis benötigt nur 11 Höheneinheiten und startet mit einer nutzbaren Kapazität von 77 Terabyte (TB). Die neue SSA G4 F24-Familie von All-Flash-Lösungen ist mit den leistungsstarken Funktionen der InfiniBox SSA G4-Plattform und InfuzeOS-Features ausgestattet und kann in den bestehenden Rechenzentrums-Racks eines Kunden, in einer Colocation-Einrichtung oder an entfernten Standorten eines Unternehmens – z.B. in großen Büros oder Fabriken – installiert werden. Darüber hinaus wird Infinidat im vierten Quartal 2025 NVMe-QLC-Flash-Module mit Kapazitäten von 30 TB und 60 TB in sein Portfolio aufnehmen.

Darüber hinaus erhielt die InfiniBox G4-Familie einige neuen Verbesserungen der Funktionen und Optionen, die den sich wandelnden Anforderungen von Unternehmenskunden gerecht werden und die Unternehmensspeicherung mit Präzision und Flexibilität voranbringen. Dazu gehören unter anderem:

• Umstellung von „teilweise bestückten“ auf flexible „Scale-up“-Modelle: Kapazitätserweiterungen sind nun in variablen Schritten möglich (statt wie bisher schrittweise um jeweils 20 Prozent), weiterhin ohne Betriebsunterbrechung.
• Erhöhung der maximalen effektiven Kapazität der Hybrid-Modelle auf 33 PB in einem Rackfür die InfiniBox-Hybridfamilie, wodurch das Kapazitätsmanagement verbessert und das Wachstum der Kunden unterstützt werden. Diese skalierbare Option ist Teil der Infinidat-Strategie, weiterhin neue Einsatzszenarien und Anwendungen für seine Kunden zu bedienen und die leistungsstarken Konsolidierungsfunktionen auszubauen. Darüber hinaus wird die InfiniBox Hybrid mit einer effektiven Kapazität von 33 PB den Erfolg von Infinidat als leistungsstarkes Backup-Zielgerät fortsetzen. Sie ermöglicht kürzere Backup-Fenster, reduzierte Backup-Wiederherstellungszeiten sowie Cyber-Speicher-Resilienz und -Wiederherstellung mit einer garantierten Recovery Time Objective (RTO) von einer Minute oder weniger – unabhängig von der Größe des Backup-Repositorys.
  • Diese verbesserte, höhere effektive Kapazität wird durch eine Erhöhung von derzeit 60 Laufwerken auf 78 Laufwerke mit SAS-4-Medien-Schnittstelle bei ähnlicher Stellfläche für einen dichteren Formfaktor ermöglicht. Diese fast doppelte Kapazität gegenüber der ursprünglichen maximalen effektiven Kapazität von 17,2 PB des G4 auf 33 PB wird durch die erhöhte Anzahl an Laufwerken und die Hinzufügung von 24-TB-Festplatten realisiert. Die 24-TB-Festplatten werden im vierten Quartal 2025 verfügbar sein.
• Erweiterung der nativen Betriebssystemunterstützung von Infinidat durch Einbettung des S3-Objektprotokolls in das InfuzeOS-Betriebssystem. Dadurch hebt sich Infinidat von der Mehrheit der Mitbewerber ab, die das S3-Protokoll weiterhin als Zusatzfunktion behandeln. Die native Unterstützung des S3-Objektprotokolls ergänzt die seit Langem in InfuzeOS integrierten Block- und Dateiprotokolle. Dadurch können InfiniBox-Arrays nun Dateien, Blöcke und Objekte nativ im selben Array unterstützen. Zudem aktualisiert Infinidat seine NFS-Unterstützung auf NFSv4.1.

New InfiniBox SSA G4 F24NT model series

This NVMe TLC flash solution with a lower entry price requires only 11 rack units and starts with a usable capacity of 77 terabytes (TB). The new SSA G4 F24 family of all-flash solutions is equipped with the powerful capabilities of the InfiniBox SSA G4 platform and InfuzeOS features and can be installed in a customer’s existing data center racks, in a colocation facility, or at remote corporate locations, such as large offices or factories. In addition, Infinidat will add NVMe QLC flash modules with capacities of 30 TB and 60 TB to its portfolio in the fourth quarter of 2025.

• Transition from “partially populated” to flexible “scale-up” models: Capacity expansions are now possible in variable increments (instead of the previous 20 percent increments), still without interrupting operations.
• Increasing the maximum effective capacity of hybrid models to 33 PB in a rack for the InfiniBox hybrid family, improving capacity management and supporting customer growth. This scalable option is part of Infinidat’s strategy to continue serving new deployment scenarios and applications for its customers and to expand its powerful consolidation capabilities. In addition, with an effective capacity of 33 PB, the InfiniBox Hybrid will continue Infinidat’s success as a powerful backup target device. It enables shorter backup windows, reduced backup recovery times, and cyber storage resilience and recovery with a guaranteed recovery time objective (RTO) of one minute or less, regardless of the size of the backup repository.
• This improved, higher effective capacity is enabled by an increase from the current 60 drives to 78 drives with SAS 4 media interface in a similar footprint for a denser form factor. This nearly double capacity compared to the original maximum effective capacity of 17.2 PB of the G4 to 33 PB is achieved through the increased number of drives and the addition of 24 TB hard drives. The 24 TB hard drives will be available in the fourth quarter of 2025.
• Expansion of Infinidat’s native operating system support by embedding the S3 object protocol into the InfuzeOS operating system. This sets Infinidat apart from the majority of its competitors, who continue to treat the S3 protocol as an add-on feature. Native support for the S3 object protocol complements the block and file protocols that have long been integrated into InfuzeOS. This allows InfiniBox arrays to now natively support files, blocks, and objects in the same array. Infinidat is also updating its NFS support to NFSv4.1.
