Karriere in der Schweizer Telekommunikation

Zuletzt war Canepa als Senior Director B2B Products & Alliances bei Sunrise tätig, dem größten privaten Telekommunikations- und ICT-Anbieter der Schweiz. Nach der Fusion von Sunrise mit UPC Switzerland übernahm er die Leitung der neu gebildeten B2B Product & Alliance Management-Organisation und gehörte dem Senior Leadership Team an. In dieser Funktion verantwortete er die Konsolidierung des Produktportfolios, den Aufbau strategischer Partnerschaften sowie die Einführung eines neuen ICT-Angebots am Markt.

Vor seiner Zeit bei Sunrise bekleidete Canepa mehrere Führungspositionen bei Swisscom, zuletzt als Senior Vice President & Field CTO IoT. Er trug dabei die strategische und operative Gesamtverantwortung für das IoT-Segment einschließlich vollständiger P&L-Verantwortung. In seiner Amtszeit wurde das Segment substanziell ausgebaut und strategische Partnerökosysteme etabliert.

Schwerpunkte der neuen Rolle

Bei Extreme Networks konzentriert sich Canepa auf den Ausbau des Unternehmenskundengeschäfts und die Stärkung des Partnernetzwerks in der Alpenregion. Zur Aufgabe sagte er: „Die Alpenregion benötigt leistungsfähige, sichere und skalierbare Netzwerklösungen, die mit den sich wandelnden Anforderungen von Unternehmen Schritt halten. Ich freue mich darauf, gemeinsam mit den lokalen Teams und unserem Partnerökosystem nachhaltiges Wachstum voranzutreiben.“

Career in Swiss Telecommunications

Most recently, Canepa served as Senior Director B2B Products & Alliances at Sunrise, Switzerland’s largest private telecommunications and ICT provider. Following the merger of Sunrise and UPC Switzerland, he headed the newly formed B2B Product & Alliance Management organization and was a member of the Senior Leadership Team. In this role, he oversaw the consolidation of the product portfolio, the development of strategic partnerships, and the market launch of a new ICT offering.

Prior to Sunrise, Canepa held several leadership positions at Swisscom, most recently as Senior Vice President & Field CTO IoT. He carried full strategic and operational responsibility for the IoT segment, including complete P&L accountability. During his tenure, the segment grew substantially and strategic partner ecosystems were established.

Focus of the New Role

At Extreme Networks, Canepa will focus on expanding the enterprise business and strengthening the partner network across the Alpine region.
