Hoher Schaden durch Ransomware-Attacken

Die Bitkom-Wirtschaftsschutz-Studie 2025 zeigt, dass 34 Prozent der deutschen Unternehmen von Ransomware-Attacken betroffen waren. 15 Prozent davon zahlten Lösegeld. Rund 70 Prozent des durch Cyberattacken verursachten Gesamtschadens von 289,2 Milliarden Euro geht auf Ransomware zurück.

Blocky for Veeam adressiert den Schutz von Backup-Repositories, die häufig Ziel von Ransomware-Angriffen sind. Die Software setzt auf eine applikationsbasierte Zugriffskontrolle per Fingerabdruck, kombiniert mit WORM-Technologie (Write Once Read Many). Schreibzugriffe sind nur für freigegebene Anwendungen möglich, wodurch unautorisierte Manipulationen verhindert werden sollen.

Integration ohne zusätzliche Hardware

Die Lösung integriert sich in bestehende Veeam-Umgebungen und lässt sich ohne zusätzliche Hardware oder komplexe Anpassungen implementieren. Selbst wenn Produktivsysteme oder Backup-Server kompromittiert wurden, sollen die Backup-Daten geschützt bleiben.

High damage caused by ransomware attacks

The Bitkom Economic Protection Study 2025 shows that 34 percent of German companies have been affected by ransomware attacks. 15 percent of them paid ransom. Around 70 percent of the total damage of €289.2 billion caused by cyberattacks is attributable to ransomware.

Blocky for Veeam addresses the protection of backup repositories, which are often the target of ransomware attacks. The software relies on application-based fingerprint access control combined with WORM (Write Once Read Many) technology. Write access is only possible for approved applications, which is intended to prevent unauthorized manipulation.

Integration without additional hardware

The solution integrates into existing Veeam environments and can be implemented without additional hardware or complex adjustments. Even if production systems or backup servers have been compromised, the backup data should remain protected.
