Die cloudbasierte Lösung überwacht kontinuierlich die sicherheitsrelevanten Einstellungen aller Kyocera-Systeme im Netzwerk. Abweichungen von definierten Standards werden automatisch erkannt und korrigiert. Alle Vorgänge werden protokolliert und lassen sich über ein zentrales Dashboard nachverfolgen.

Orientierung am BSI-Standard

Die Entwicklung orientiert sich an den Empfehlungen des Bundesamts für Sicherheit in der Informationstechnik, insbesondere am IT-Grundschutz-Baustein SYS 4.1. IT-Abteilungen können Sicherheitsrichtlinien einmalig definieren und zentral auf alle Systeme anwenden. Regelmäßige Scans erfassen Konfigurationsabweichungen, Firmware-Versionen und den Status von Gerätezertifikaten.

Ein integriertes Reporting-System dokumentiert den Sicherheitsstatus der Druckinfrastruktur. Dies dient als Nachweis gegenüber Prüfinstanzen im Rahmen des NIS2-Umsetzungsgesetzes. Die Lösung wird im Subscription-Modell angeboten und benötigt keine eigene Serverinfrastruktur.

Entwicklung für den europäischen Markt

Die AKI PrinTaurus Security Suite wurde von der AKI GmbH, einem Unternehmen der Kyocera-Gruppe, entwickelt. Stephen Schienbein, Geschäftsführer der AKI GmbH, erklärt: „Die Lösung entlastet IT-Teams im Alltag und stellt sicher, dass definierte Sicherheitsrichtlinien eingehalten werden.“

Die Software ist über Kyocera-Fachhandelspartner verfügbar und lässt sich in bestehende IT-Umgebungen integrieren. Eine On-Premise-Variante befindet sich bereits in der Entwicklung. Die Lösung richtet sich insbesondere an Unternehmen der kritischen Infrastruktur (KRITIS) und öffentliche Einrichtungen.

The cloud-based solution continuously monitors the security-related settings of all Kyocera systems in the network. Deviations from defined standards are automatically detected and corrected. All processes are logged and can be tracked via a central dashboard.

Based on the BSI standard

The development is based on the recommendations of the German Federal Office for Information Security (BSI), in particular the IT baseline protection module SYS 4.1. IT departments can define security policies once and apply them centrally to all systems. Regular scans detect configuration deviations, firmware versions, and the status of device certificates.

An integrated reporting system documents the security status of the printing infrastructure. This serves as proof for auditing bodies within the framework of the NIS2 Implementation Act. The solution is offered on a subscription basis and does not require its own server infrastructure.

Developed for the European market

The AKI PrinTaurus Security Suite was developed by AKI GmbH, a Kyocera Group company. Stephen Schienbein, Managing Director of AKI GmbH, explains: “The solution reduces the daily workload of IT teams and ensures that defined security guidelines are adhered to.”

The software is available through Kyocera’s specialist retail partners and can be integrated into existing IT environments. An on-premise version is already in development. The solution is aimed in particular at companies with critical infrastructure (KRITIS) and public institutions.
